CURRICULUM VITAE DR. GIORGIO LORENZON

Born in Turin on 26-05-1947
1973: Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Turin University

1976:
Specialised in Cardiology at the University of Siena
1979: Specialised in Cardioangiosurgery at Turin University

1982:
Specialised in Odontostomatology at Turin University
1967: Started to work as intern at "Blalock" Centre of Cardiosurgery at the University of Turin under Prof. Actis Dato with whom he collaborated for ten years (October 1969, Panorama front cover)
1974 – ’77: Head of Department of Cardiosurgery at Chivasso Hospital, also working on Hemodynamics
1977 – ’79: Assistant at Coronary Unit Turin University - Molinette Hospital
During this period he collaborated on numerous scientific publications presented at several Congresses.
From 1975 he started to work on research focusing on surgical techniques with a view to reducing the invasive nature of surgery in various anatomic districts, in particular oral implantology which was experiencing a period of rapid evolution at the time.
Since 1983
he has been Head of Surgery at Brandizzo - Turin. He mainly undertakes surgery in the periodontal field and implantology. He has presented papers at numerous congresses and has had the honour of being invited (the only Westerner) as "visiting professor" to the Burdenko Military Hospital in Moscow where he gave a lecture at the annual meeting of Heads of Dentistry Departments from the Confederate States. This visit has been followed by numerous cultural exchanges.
